VocalEssence Founded in 1969 as the Plymouth Music Series, VocalEssence is recognized internationally for its innovative exploration of music for voices and instruments. Each year, artistic director and founder Philip Brunelle leads an engaging series of concerts featuring the 100-voice VocalEssence Chorus, the 26-voice professional Ensemble Singers and soloists in music ranging from a cappella to full orchestra. Concerts are held in venues selected to complement the music, including Orchestra Hall, Ted Mann Concert Hall, Benson Great Hall, and area churches.
