The Bugs - Reviews
'OK...as you can see this CD review is a little different. The music showcased here is not their own, but, let me assure you it IS original. The Bugs are a quartet who have an amazing talent for taking our old favorites and making them our new favorites. I have to admit I was skeptical at first. After really listening to their CD A Boy And His Rooster, I was hooked. I like the way they make the songs their own. Their style is heavier and a bit rougher and really gives a modern feel to these classic hits. How great to hear the songs we know and love, but, be rediscovering them at the same time!! I really enjoyed this CD and recommend it to anyone who loves classic rock and roll!!! For a schedule and more info on the band go to www.thebugsband.com and to hear a sample of The Bugs CD, A Boy And His Rooster. As Always, Camille '

'The Bugs A Boy and His Rooster - First came the Beatles. Then the Bugs. The former need no introduction here. The latter are a Milwaukee foursome who have entertained local audiences for the last year with punk-rock covers of Beatles songs (and a few other odds 'n' ends). 'A Boy and His Rooster', their debut CD, is a cleanly recorded document of their schtick. It includes breakneck versions of Beatles classics such as Eleanor Rigby and Help, plus Cheap Trick's Hello There (Ladies and Gentleman), one by Led Zeppelin (Nobody's Fault) and even Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. We've always been in original bands, says the Bugs' spokesman, who calls himself Lane. 'We thought people might actually like this band!' And by all accounts they were correct. --Dave Luhrssen '
