'... Music fans have been rediscovering the Minnesota and Minneapolis music scene of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Because of this, many new music packages have been coming out. When I heard there was goig to be a Danny's Reasons package (CD) my response was as is probably yours, It's about time.
From the early 60s to early 80ss, Danny's Reasons were one of the most successful rock groups on the Minneapolis and Upper Midwest music scene.
Led by the multi-talented Danny Stevens, The Reasons were sure fire draws at nghtclubs, ballrooms or just about any venue that sold tickets to the music loving teens. If you were a club owner, you always knew that Danny's Reasons would fill the house.
From the early 60s to the early 80s, Danny's Reasons always seemed to have a record on the charts. Many of you will hear them again on the Danny's Reasons CD. From the early rock styling of Little Diane, to the harder edged Triangles and Under My Thumb, to the beautiful ballad of Young Emotions, Danny Stevens always delivered a successful effort to the Top 40 charts.
The Reasons were described as a talent magnet, as they attracted some of the finest musicians and vocalists in the Minneapois music market. Such standouts as Carl Bradley, Jimmy Lawrence, Ceedy Van Dusen, Danny's brother Mickey Stevens, and of course the glue that made the Reasons work for close to two decades, Danny Stevens...'~ Tom Tourville, Minnesota Rocked the 1960s! |
