'This is an incredible first album from a band with a boatload of talent and potential. The album art is great and the songs are pure. It's probably best to check this band out now before a major label signs the band and ruins it all.
-Dug'~ Skratch Magazine, Sept 2005 (Monthly print mag) 'Minnesota’s The Golden Chariots of Mars claims that they’ve got sixty songs under their belt. Here they offer a glimpse of thirteen of those tunes. Led by female lead singer Catie Larson, The Golden Chariots of Mars are sort of a female and less distorted and heavy version of The Pixies writing angular guitar riffs that juxtapose their enigmatic song structures. Above the crunchy guitars and truncated drums is a noodled bliss of melody that co-exists nicely. While not overly aggressive, their songs fit raging moods well—or at least their aftermaths.
- J-Sin'~ Smother.net, Summer 2005 '(While known as The Sonicads, a review from one of their prior limited releases mentions) Super together playing makes each song precise and slightly dangerous. Excellent screeching guitars and tough, sexy vocals by singer Catie Larson. Would love to see a live gig.
