'Trevor Marty's Beneath The Trees is a refreshing acoustic gem, I've
been playing the song Twice on a repeat in my old truck's CD
player...it's a perfect soundtrack to a Midwestern day. Great pickin',
well done!
'~ Jack Norton 'I've watched this artist develop for some years now. He was impressive when I first heard him, but this CD takes it to another level. The disc itself is well-mastered and very listenable. The instrumentation is a nice mix of acoustic guitar, bass, flute and mandolin. These guys clearly know how to play, and do it well (the guitar work, especially, is gorgeous). The songs themselves are wistful, reflective ditties done in a style that recalls the best folk-rock artists of the 60's and 70's (I cued this CD up with Crosby, Stills & Nash and found they meshed quite nicely). All in all, an excellent first CD. I'm looking forward to the next one.
