HippoH, originally started in late 1998, was formed by John Henry(Justin C), Eric Vinyl(Eric V) and Utterwise(Wane I) in order to raise the conscience of current hip hop listeners by giving a perspective of what it could be.

HippoH itself means, Inside Out Hip Hop. The way HippoH tries to stay different and captivating is that it utilizes live instruments and artists that have a slightly skewed view towards the world not wanting to share the same topics covered in a lot of current HipHop music.

HippoH is now 16 members strong and growing. HippoH's members mainly reside on the West Coast, but HippoH has members on both the East and West Coasts to ensure that it does not favor one flavor too much.
