Minneapolis-based Free Range Pickin' is a spirited quartet that applies its great fascination with that bluegrass sound to a wide variety of traditional string band music, classic pop and rock, and a fresh collection of original tunes.  Free Range Pickin' has a great time performing because it takes nothing too seriously.  The fact that the band truly enjoys playing to an audience is both evident and infectious.  An ever-evolving kinship with a wide range of listeners is based on a unique blend of musical ability, entertaining arrangements, and onstage antics.

Free Range Pickin' has been honored to perform at the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association's Homegrown Kickoff Festival and Winter Bluegrass Weekend, Prairie Grass Festival, KBEM's Bluegrass Saturday Morning radio show, and the one-and-only Dulono Dome in Uptown Minneapolis.
