It was 2004. An eager person and an anxious person decided to combine their psychoses and call it 'Eager Anxiety.' They decided to strip folk and rock down to the bare essentials: guitar and voice. They created a raw, melodic, energetic, laid-back, original, cliché collection of musical sounds. Playing mostly originals and some covers, Eager Anxiety opens (read: subjects) audiences to the song writing of its two members while also paying homage to its musical influences.

David: David has been writing music, singing and playing guitar for over eleven years and is a graduate with a BA in music emphasizing voice and a minor in theatre. As a song writer his influences come from a variety of musical genres: Rock, Metal, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Folk, Opera, Classical, 20th Century, etc. He is also a voice and guitar instructor. His performance experiences include playing at several music festivals and a variety of other venues, voice recitals, musicals, and acting on the stage. He hopes one day he can be signed to a major record label as well as become a successful actor.

Patrick: Patrick took up guitar at age 10 and began song writing and singing at age 17. Though Patrick enjoys an eclectic variety of music, he is most heavily influenced by folk and progressive rock. As a song writer, Patrick is a politician, absurdist, and occasional sentimentalist. His songs generally consist of strange, abstract musings, political or social satire, dark songs about dark people in their darker moments, and, unfortunately, obnoxiously idealistic love songs. With no shortage of enthusiasm for stepping on small electronic boxes, Patrick enjoys experimenting with guitar effects. He hopes to continue enjoying and sharing music in some way, shape, or form, for the rest of his natural and/or artificial life.
