Marlin and Dante

Formed in the winter of 2006 between musicians Marlin Ledin and Dante Amadeo, the bass/ guitar/ vocal duo combines the sounds, languages, rythms, and influences of both latin and north America to create a mellow and well defined sound.
Dante Amadeo Ochoa Segoviano comes from Guanajuato, Mexico. Influenced by his father, and his curiousity about playing an instrument,Dante started playing music at the age of 15. Dante has attended The Conservatory of Las Rosas in Michoacan, The School of Music at the University of Guanajuato, and studied Guitar with Ken Bassman. Previous to Happy Guy Crying, Dante has performed with the band Argentum, as well as Caracol.

Marlin James Ledin was born and raised in Washburn Wisconsin. Marlin started playing music by the age of 11, from influences by his parents and uncle. After high school, he attended Mcnally Smith College of Music, (formerly known as Musictech) studying with Terry Burns, Gary Raynor, and Jim Anton. Marlin has performed and recorded with Jared Boria of The beckoning and Air Museum, and has worked as a studio session player, and teaches music.
