Troy Russel plays American-roots music in the country/blues/folk traditions. He sings like Jimmie Rodgers (without the yodelling) and Hank Williams, and accompanies himself on guitar. Throughout 2006, Troy toured in the Mid-West playing in the Minneapolis, St. Paul, Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago metro areas. In February 2006, Troy's first CD-EP titled Blowin' Down the Road was released by Sun-Optikos Publications, and in January 2007 his 2nd CD-EP titled Sinner Man Blues was released and is currently available at all live appearances and through the official Web site.
