Drawing from an array of influences such as Against Me!, John Frusciante, Billy Bragg, John Lennon and many others, Elwell is an intense singer/songwriter and formerly the singer/guitarist of MPLS punk rock trio Islero. Although he lives in Southern California, Minnesota is an enormous influence on him and a big part of his life.
