Bio: Loren Lukas (Deutz)
Born the seventh son, fifteenth child in a family of sixteen children, in a farming community in Minnesota. Everyone in the family could sing , several played piano, (including mom), various band instruments, one or two the violin. The music in the house was Country, Rock, Folk and Jazz. Went to Venezuela. Got a job in a recording studio, serving the southern Caribbean and northern South America. Groups from Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad and other islands came to record there. Salsa, Merengue, Calypso, Ska Latin jazz, folk and classical groups all recorded there. Played in a Latin jazz group. Went native. Stayed for two years. Came back to Minneapolis, worked in several recording studios. Played in a fusion band with African musicians.
All these influences come out in the music. I've written at least four albums of songs but this is the first release. They are all with lyric (drawn from the family that raised me, the family I raised and the family of man), melody, harmony and rhythm. I sing lead and play guitar.
