Inebriation, it sounds more like a process of getting so hammered you can't stand than the name of a band. However, it is a 7 piece hip-hop funk band that make you feel about the same. This funky crew has been paying dues in Minneapolis since 2002 and their shows are reaping the benefits. They released their first album, Let it Play, in April 2004 and have recieved a lot of postive feed back. Their style is mostly hip-hop, with touches of about every other style of music mixed in. This is one group of musicians that are not afraid to take chances. They consist of 2 MC's, a diverse guitar/keyboardist, a saxaphonist, a funky bassist, a DJ and a well traveled drummer. Their Minneapolis story starts at The 5 Corners Music Saloon, where they played once a month for about a year as well as taking almost any show they could. These shows were crucial for building the audience that has propelled them to shows at First Avenue and The Cabooze. They have been blessed with rocking the stage with Pleasure Pause, Wookie Foot, Adjoining Seperatists, Yoni, Negative One, Omar Bliss, Carnage, Bona Phide, Hydrophonics, 3 Pill Morning, and the list goes on.
