I started playing guitar around age 19. Life was about loud music and rock and roll. I played guitar and sang in bar bands for about 10 years. I can laugh about all that stuff now as I think God was just preparing me for something bigger. Our family moved to New Richmond Wisconsin in 1999. In July 2001, things changed. I was baptized and become part of an awesome family. Our church needed someone to play bass and so I did. I now lead one of our worship teams. It’s an awesome privilege. God has blessed our church with leaders that see value in the arts and utilize it whenever possible to display the glory of God.
I started writing songs for the first CD in the fall of 2002. Words come with a lot of tears. To this day, it’s hard to make it through some of the songs. Much of this music is about the way God can change your life. Anyway, we began recording in the summer of 2003. We finished in time for Christmas. It was an awesome adventure.
The band and I just released (November, 2005) our second project titled Did you know. It’s a mixture of upbeat toe tapping, hand raising songs combined with piano lead heart felt ballads that share a common purpose, to tell the listener about who God is and what He has in store for those who not just believe in Him, but BELIEVE Him.
Aside from church, I am also involved in prison and jail ministries through the Free Inside Out ministry ran by Jeannine Limbeck from our church. It’s a real sobering thing going into the prisons but its part of what we are called to do. God gives the gifts. We need to be willing to use them for his purpose.
I don’t know what God has in store for all of this. I just know that I trust in His will. Regardless of the outcome, I appreciate the opportunity to submit this application. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions.
Take care, God Bless
