Born and raised on the plains of South Dakota, Jennifer brings a fresh, yet familiar voice to the acoustic scene. Her songs are both intimate and rebel rousing and reflect personal experiences - a moment in Central Park, driving through the Midwest, a dear friend in the hospital, and an evening on the epic Mississippi River. She is also a lover of Irish and Old-Time music and brings her modern spunk to traditional songs.
Arriving in Minneapolis, Minnesota to peruse her career as a professional dancer, she eventually spent more time moonlighting as a musician. She still goes walking barefoot, but with her guitar in hand.
According to one critic, Jennifer has conquered the coffeehouse scene in the Twin Cities. She fronted the Celtic group, The County Popes and has shared the stage with Chris Smithers, Tim Erickson and Katy Tessman. She has appeared with Seven Thieves, Chelsea Hotel: Leonard Cohen Tribute with Mean Larry and the production of JC Superstar at First Avenue. Jennifer's songs have been a part of productions by Stuart Pimsler Dance Theater, Prairie Wind Dancers and Vroom-Vroom Group. Jennifer has performed at the Unvarnished Folk Festival, Intermedia Arts 4th of July Celebration, Kieran's Irish Pub St. Patrick's Day Festival, First Avenue - just to name a few.
